I was staying in Aberdeen for the weekend and decided to take a drive up to Findhorn Beach on the Moray Coast. The weather conditions were not the greatest but the beach was still beautiful. I think I will organise a weekend stay near the beach and spend a few days there to try and get better conditions but here are a couple of shots I got.
Local wandering
So I have decided to post here on my blog on a more regular basis. I do not always have that much to say to be honest so I am just going to post some shots from walks / mini trips. These will just be shots that I liked but not exactly portfolio shots if you know what I mean.
These shots were taken at 3 different locations in my local area. Avonbridge Open Cast, Westquarter Glen and Blackness.

And so it begins... again
Well that was a bust. So much for not letting the site go stagnant. {inset excuses here} Well like so many other human beings on the planet the 2020 pandemic did kind of interrupt my life plans so that was the main reason I neglected this site.
Not being allowed out the house did make it slightly difficult to get out with the camera and there are only so many shots you can take of the family and pets before they get sick of having a camera in their face every other day. Like most of the population I sent my days watching YouTube and still trying to brush up on my skills.
2 years later and now there are no excuses. I have been out with the camera over the past 2 years so today I updated the images in my portfolio. I have decided to not be so lazy regarding the site and my photography after a little soul searching so here’s hoping my soul was listening.

And so it begins
So if you have read the about page you will know that I love photography. Over the past few months I have been struggling with motivation to pick up the camera and get out into the field. Landscapes are what I love capturing and getting outside in nature is where I am at my happiest. So I decided to make a site to showcase my photography and I believe this will give me the motivation to get out on a more regular basis.
I hate the idea of a website sitting stagnant with irregular updates so now I have a commitment to keep my new website updated and the only way to do that is to get up, get the camera and get out there and do what makes me happy.
