Random Flickrs

The ProBlogger book by Darren Rowse & Chris Garrett.

Before I started this blog I had spent a lot of time looking into what was involved in creating and running a blog.  Everywhere I went I always seem to end up back on the ProBlogger.net website.  I decided that was the place where I was going to get the most useful information from.  I spent a few months just reading through the posts and seeing what other users were saying about the advice that was coming through the site.  Personally I was loving every post and when they announced they were releasing a book I went straight to Amazon and pre-ordered it.

When the book arrived I was not disappointed, it was great.  It did cover a lot of information that I had already read on the site but I still loved it and still often refer back to the book. Here is a brief list of things that you will learn in the book.

  • Choose subject matter that works for you
  • Handle technical issues
  • Examine different way your blog can earn extra income
  • Evaluate your slog’s success
  • Keep content fresh and interesting
  • Use your blog to generate income indirectly

If anyone reading this post is interested in or looking to start their own blog or even if you already have a blog that has went a bit stale then I would 100% recommend that you buy this book first and start off on the right track or bring your existing blog back to life.
