My Little Sister’s all grown up.My little sister recently completed her BA Applied Graphics at Glasgow Caledonian University. Here are some details about the course. The BA Applied Graphics Technology with Multimedia programme has been developed to allow the student to enhance their skills in the area of electronic/digital media and to give them a solid grounding in technology, in both practical and theoretical areas. The curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the latest developments in the field of new media design. The programme has been created for HND students with intent to transform their traditional skills to suit a screen based audio/visual medium. Using industry standard hardware and software applications, you will be able to assemble multimedia presentations using animation, sound, video and still images. You will also study the underlying technology in order to gain an insight into the wider issues generated by present day multimedia publishing. The techniques required to present information via the screen based environment will be studied in depth, with an investigation into new and emerging techniques as well as possible limitations. At the end of the programme, project work will allow you the opportunity to combine your planning skills, research abilities and creation of media to produce a final integrated product. Now that she has completed the course and got the letters after her name she has put her portfolio online(which surprisingly they did not teach as part of the course). Check it out here. Her boyfriend Joe is currently doing the same course, here is his online portfolio. 1 comment to My Little Sister’s all grown up. |
